SYDNEY — Sefiani Communications Group has announced the appointment of former H+K Strategies Australia CEO Mandy Galmes as managing director and partner, effective 1 November.

Galmes spent three years at H+K, which she joined in 2018 after two years as managing director of Sibling, a purpose-built integrated agency in WPP AUNZ dedicated to Westfield. Before that, she founded and led Fuel Communications, now part of Herd MSL.

“2021 has been a stellar year for Sefiani and there is incredible momentum in our business," said Sefiani CEO and chair Robyn Sefiani. "It’s the perfect time for Mandy to join and build on our strong reputation for delivering brand and corporate communication that matters in issues-rich environments."

Sefiani added that Galmes appointment would allow her to focus on her areas of passion:
"Sefiani’s strategic direction, providing reputation counsel to the C-suite, helping effect positive change for causes I care deeply about, mentoring colleagues and helping advance the communications profession."

“I have always had a huge amount of admiration for Robyn and her business and am over the moon to work in partnership with her," added Galmes. “Sefiani has attracted some of the best talent in the market and this in turn draws in high calibre clients. I am extremely energised by the opportunity to build on this, accelerate the growth of the business and continue to nurture the people-led culture."

Sefiani's clients include Airbus, EY (Ernst & Young), Expedia Group, CrowdStrike, DoorDash, Allen & Overy, Arcadis, McGrathNicol, Ferrero and Australia for UNHCR.
