LONDON — Threepipe has won a wide-ranging brief to launch new skincare brand Ioniq in the UK and Germany, after a competitive pitch.

The agency’s remit includes organic social, influencer, PR, paid social, paid search, SEO and creative in both markets, as the company launches its innovative skincare device, devised with patented technology that evenly applies its sun protection, tanning, body serum and moisturiser products.

Ioniq is the first corporate start-up from German industrial giant Wagner, which is better known for its trade and DIY paint sprayers and powder coating systems, and has evolved this technology for the beauty sector.

Threepipe has been providing pre-launch support from this spring and is now building up the brand and performance media activity to support the launch this month.

Ioniq brand manager Lena Ahn-Bosch said: “We are delighted to be work with the Threepipe team that has such a great roster of clients in the beauty market. Having a partner that can take us to both markets with full media support across the channels was crucial. We can't wait to get going.”

Threepipe co-founder Jim Hawker added: “It's exciting to be working with the team to bring such a revolutionary device to the UK and German beauty market. We will initially be targeting early adopters of new products and technology before widening out to the audience that are looking for an innovative way to solve the age-old problem of applying creams in an even way and hard to reach places.”
