LONDON — Taylor Herring has been appointed by Sky as its retained agency for mobile and broadband consumer PR in the UK.

The agency has been tasked with delivering projects throughout the year, as well as supporting key product launches and running the press office. The mobile and broadband consumer PR account was previously held by Red Consultancy.

Taylor Herring has worked on projects for Sky’s broadcasting and entertainment divisions for more than 15 years, including campaigns for Sky Atlantic, Sky Arts, Sky Cinema, Sky Sports, Sky Kids and streaming service Now.

Sky head of product PR Helen Nunn said: “Taylor Herring has been a trusted Sky partner for many years, delivering stand out campaigns across our business. The agency demonstrated a deep understanding of the sector and showed incredible creative flair – we are super excited to launch some great work together this year”.

Taylor Herring’s managing partner, Sam Corry, will lead the account alongside agency director Lydia Turner and senior account director Rosie Cope.

Corry said: “We have worked with Sky’s broadcasting and entertainment arm for over 15 years and are excited to now be turning our attention to the brand’s compelling mobile and broadband offering”.

Taylor Herring has already delivered its first two projects: for Sky Broadband, it handled media relations around the brand’s campaign to raise awareness of online abuse faced by female gamers (pictured).

This month, the agency also delivered a creative campaign ahead of football’s transfer deadline day, teaming up with former club manager Harry Redknapp, who signed up as Sky Mobile’s ‘switching ambassador’, giving the public his top tips on changing network providers.
