LONDON — Talker Tailor Trouble Maker has won a consumer PR brief from French-owned music streaming service Deezer after a four-way competitive pitch.

The agency will be working in the UK on an exclusive projects contract – meaning it is the only UK agency working with Deezer – including “disruptive storytelling and stunts." Deezer has worked with other agencies including The Romans in the past, but does not have a retained UK agency.

The first activation is due to launch in the next few weeks, followed by other work including experiential over the summer. Deezer’s global and UK PR manager Hannah Wright said: “We want to go big and bold in 2020. It’s all about making a splash and we know Talker Tailor will blow it out of the water.”

The streaming service, which was set up by young French entrepreneur Daniel Marhely in 2007, operates in a competitive market dominated by Spotify and Apple Music. Deezer currently has 14 million users around the world, who pay a monthly subscription to access more than 56 million tracks, as well as playlists and podcasts.

Deezer joins other Talker Tailor clients including Deliveroo, Tastecard and Mastercard.
