HONG KONG — Tech brand TCL has handed global communications duties to BCW following a competitive review, PRovoke Media can reveal.

The Chinese tech giant selected BCW to support its efforts to build a global brand after previously working with H+K Strategies. The assignment is estimated at more than $1m in fees per year.

While BCW's remit covers global markets, it does not include TCL's home market of China. Best known for its TVs, in which it ranks second globally by market share, TCL's products also span mobile phones, home appliances, home electronics, and semiconductor display and materials.

The TCL assignment adds to BCW's roster of global China brands, which includes Huawei, Lenovo, Oppo, Tencent and Vivo.

“BCW’s continued investment in integrated communications expertise and technology sector experience is attracting the best industry talent and, in turn, resulting in more clients choosing to collaborate with us,” said Polka Yu, deputy president of BCW in Asia-Pacific. “We are excited to partner with TCL - an innovation-driven, bold brand, committed to delivering cutting-edge technology that improves lives.”
