LONDON — Pan-European technology PR agency Tyto has made three senior appointments and seven senior promotions as it scales to meet demand from clients for European reach.

Nick Taylor (pictured, left) joins as senior partner and head of corporate after more than six years at Ballou PR, latterly as UK managing director. Liz Mead (centre) joins Tyto as a director from Motorola Solutions, where she was communications lead for the UK and Africa, and Sophie Banda strengthens Tyto’s pan-European media unit, joining as associate director and media strategist.

Taylor said: “Real innovation in the communications agency operating model is rare. In less than five years Tyto has redefined how cross-border PR mandates can be delivered. Tyto’s clear plan for growth alongside industry-leading client and staff retention were key factors in my decision to join. I’m looking forward to being a part of its next chapter.”

As well as the external appointments, Tyto has made a number of promotions, including Silke Rossmann – who joined the agency from Hotwire in 2019 to lead its European expansion – becoming senior partner and head of client operations. In addition, Lavinia Haane and Lauren Armour become directors, and Shamina Peerboccus, Bastian Meger, Morad Salehi and Lucy Marinova have been promoted to associate director.

Rossmann said: “Tyto provides internationally-minded communications professionals with a unique, borderless environment to learn and grow. This, alongside our remote model and culture, is making Tyto a destination for some of the tech industry’s brightest talents. I’m really proud to announce these well-deserved promotions, but this is only the tip of the iceberg with incredible talent coming through the ranks at every level of the agency.”

Tyto chief executive Brendon Craigie (pictured, right) added: “We are and always will be an agency with a strong emphasis on senior talent because we believe this is essential to delivering clients the best results in the most efficient manner. The investments we are making in existing and new senior professionals represent an essential foundation for our plans to scale Tyto to meet the growing demands for our PRWithoutBorders model.”

The appointments follow a year of 50% growth, with Tyto on track to achieve £5 million in annual revenues in its fifth year of operation.
