BOSTON — Crypto wallet company Valora has hired Red Lorry Yellow Lorry for PR support in the US and UK.

As US and UK agency of record, RLYL’s overarching goal is to establish Valora as the premiere crypto wallet in the Celo ecosystem. Celo —  a mobile-first blockchain designed to bring cryptocurrency to smartphones in a user-friendly way —  named RLYL its North America PR partner last fall.

Led from RLYL’s Boston and London offices, the PR program will focus on generating brand awareness and engagement through media campaigns, refining and amplifying the company’s brand voice with thought leadership and educational content, as well as identifying ad hoc commentary and news-sharing opportunities. In addition, the program will build industry recognition for Valora CEO Jackie Bona, through executive profiling and speaking opportunities.

Built on Celo blockchain technology, Valora experienced rapid growth in 2021 after closing a $20 million Series A funding round. This enabled it to operate as a standalone company from cLabs, the organization that initially shaped Celo and the native asset CELO.

“Since launching last year, Valora experienced tremendous evolution and growth and we’re thrilled to partner with the lorries to help us amplify our brand and gain market traction,” said Valora head of marketing Sharman Ordoyne. “After bringing the lorries on for a whirlwind successful funding launch in November, we knew we wanted to partner with them long-term to help us achieve our communications goals. We’re looking forward to continuing our relationship and for what comes next.”
