LONDON — Cruise line Virgin Voyages has hired One Green Bean as its retained PR and influencer agency in the UK.

The appointment comes after One Green Bean’s handling of the relaunch of Virgin Voyages’ first Scarlet Lady ship in summer 2021 as lockdown restrictions eased. The agency will now work with Virgin Voyages as the brand launches its second ship, Valiant Lady, which will this month sail around the UK ports of Tilbury and Liverpool, ahead of her maiden voyage from Portsmouth before docking at her homeport in Barcelona in May.

One Green Bean will lead the creation and management of the launch campaign, which will include media and influencer preview events in Tilbury and influencer activity in Liverpool, as well as overseas trip co-ordination, spokesperson profiling and interviews, and press office. Virgin Voyages will also work with One Green Bean’s social team and its influencer proposition, Co-maker.

The account is led by One Green Bean’s head of PR, Alex Perry. The agency recently expanded its travel and tourism offer, with clients including Tourism Australia, Qatar Tourism, Visit Jersey and Hotels.com.
