LONDON — Swiss health and wellness brand Chenot has chosen Milk & Honey PR on a six-figure retained contract to lead its global PR programme, with an initial focus on the UK, France and Germany.

Chenot, which was founded almost 50 years ago, runs health and wellness retreats and treatments in branded hotels and spas in Switerland, Azerbaijan, Italy, Montenegro, Malaysia and Morocco, and licenses its skincare and cosmeceutical products to selected resorts around the world. Its signature approach – The Chenot Method – combines the principles of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine.

This is the first time the company has appointed a global agency. Milk & Honey has been tasked with building Chenot's reputation as a leader in health and wellness, through earned media, events and product launches.

As well as reaching current customers, the agency will be targeting a wider audience of people who are interested in realising their health potential, including entrepreneurs, sportspeople, professional athletes, C-suite, executive, and Gen Z and millennial consumers concerned about their health.

Chenot head of marketing and PR Emma Haefeli said: “Chenot needed an agency who could translate the scientific research underpinning the Chenot Method into consumer and media-friendly messaging, taking our PR to the next level across our European markets. Milk & Honey impressed us with their understanding of our audiences and our vision of optimal health.”

Chenot appointed Milk & Honey following a competitive pitch process led by Alex Young Consulting. The core team will be led by partner and global head of media Zharina Arnaldo, who said: “We’re incredibly excited to partner with Chenot, a real trailblazer in the health wellness space. Chenot is an innovative brand with a clear purpose to make people’s lives better, which is very much aligned to Milk & Honey’s ideals.”
