SINGAPORE — Lenovo has named Bella Ling-Nair as the new head of global communications for the company’s solutions and services group (SSG), following the recent departure of Kinan Suchaovanich, who held the role for 20 months.

Ling-Nair joins Lenovo in Singapore from Baxter, where she led the communications function for Asia-Pacific and Greater China for almost five years.

Ling-Nair's career includes almost 25 years in the US and across Asia working in senior communications roles for tech companies such as Airbnb, SAP, IBM, Oracle, Yahoo and Cisco, and at PR agencies including Edelman, Archetype and Ogilvy.

Lenovo's SSG unit brings new IT solutions to customers to support their digital transformation efforts. Ling-Nair leads a global team and is tasked with positively impacting business outcomes through thought leadership, employee engagement, industry outreach and communication counsel.

Ling-Nair, who reports to SSG CMO David Rabin, is the second senior comms executive to take on a leadership role at Lenovo in the last 12 months, after Stephanie Yu was named Asia-Pacific communications leader last year
