LONDON — Marshall Manson, the former UK chief executive of Ogilvy PR, is leaving Brunswick, where he has been a partner and digital leader since 2018.

Before joining Ogilvy in 2013, Manson had been at Edelman for nearly eight years, latterly as digital MD for EMEA, and played a pivotal role in the growth of the firm’s digital operation across the region.

At Ogilvy, he was first EMEA managing director of the agency’s Social@Ogilvy offer, before becoming UK CEO of the PR division in 2015, succeeding Michael Frohlich, who moved up to EMEA CEO and now holds the same role at Weber Shandwick.

In his role at Brunswick, Manson was part of the digital leadership team based in London, advising C-suite and board level clients across the UK, Europe, Africa and India on how to use digital and other disruptive technologies in their communications, and providing counsel on complex business challenges. He also helped build and lead Brunswick’s global strategic communications planning team.

Manson’s next move is not yet known. He told PRovoke Media he was exploring a number of options: “It’s been an amazing journey at Brunswick, and I have learned a huge amount from the firm. I’m proud of the work I’ve done. Some of my very best professional experiences have come during my time at Brunswick.

"And I’m very lucky to have had the chance to work with so many excellent colleagues, especially in our digital and communications strategy teams. But now is the right time for me to make this move, and so my journey continues. I am looking forward to seeing where the road takes me from here.”

Brunswick COO Helen James added: “We are very grateful to Marshall for his substantial contribution across a wide range of areas since he joined in 2018. Marshall helped build a world-class digital team and has also worked on a wide range of client mandates, not only providing a digital perspective but also contributing his substantial experience on communications strategy, campaigns, and planning.

"We would like to thank Marshall for everything he has done for the firm and wish him the very best for the future.”
