NEW YORK — Golin has made Dawn Langeland managing director of its New York operation — a position that has been open since Tony Telloni exited the firm earlier this year.

Langeland joined Golin in April from FleishmanHillard to be deputy managing director, leading the office's consumer practice and its 'catalyst' and 'creator' communities that are part of Golin's G4 structure. In this new post, she will run the office and report to Matt Neale, co-president of New York and president, EMEA. Neale relocated to New York last fall to accelerate growth at Golin New York, a key priority for a firm that remains led by its Chicago operation. New York lags behind Los Angeles and is tied with several other offices as Golin's third-largest.

So far, Langeland has been the driving force for winning Kayak's PR and social media business. She's also helped bring on an assignment from NYX Cosmetics — a collaboration between Golin's New York and Los Angeles offices.

Langeland spent the majority of her career at FleishmanHillard in a variety of roles, most recently as global consumer products lead, SVP & senior partner.
