The coffee shop chain, which is part of The Coca Cola Company and already works with other agencies within WPP's dedicated Open X team, has appointed the agency to develop and execute consumer PR campaigns, including product and menu launches, and limited offers, as well as amplifying the brand’s new creative platform, ‘Made A Little Better'.

Costa Coffee’s head of corporate affairs and PR Esme Knight said: “We’re really excited to have appointed H+K to help add some new energy and creative flare into our PR campaigns. We’ve some fantastic campaigns launching this year and look forward to working with H+K to help drive awareness and build brand love. We were looking for trusted advisors as much as brilliant publicists, and are confident we’ve found that.”

H+K’s managing director for consumer packaged good, Kate Hopper, added: “We’re very pleased to be joining WPP Open X in helping shape Costa Coffee’s brand communications at an exciting time for the business. We have the experience and expertise to drive fame while creating an emotional connection with target audiences, ultimately build their reputation to drive growth.”

The appointment follows other recent client wins for H+K London including Hill’s Pet Nutrition and global supply chain and omnichannel commerce company Manhattan Associates.
