LONDON — Sunny Side Up has been appointed by online travel brand Lastminute.com to handle UK consumer PR during 2022, after a competitive pitch.

The agency’s brief covers both press office and broader brand experiences. The incumbent was PR and social agency Spider.

The account will be led by Sunny Side Up managing director Zoe Ward-Waring, with strategy and creative led by agency founder Nick Woods. The team will report into Anna Westermann, Lastminute.com’s communications and content manager.

Ward-Waring said: “We are of course delighted to add a storied brand like lastminute.com to the agency roster. They are without doubt one of the travel industry’s great brands and have a long track record of doing great comms work. As a team we have a really good amount of travel experience across resorts, hotels and destinations and it’s exciting to see our travel division build at Sunny Side Up.”

Lastminute.com’s website and apps in 17 languages are used by 60 million users a month in 40 countries to search for and book travel and leisure. The company joins other clients including wine brands Villa Maria and Cune on Sunny Side Up’s roster.
