LONDON — US management consulting firm Pemberton has appointed London-based PR agency growth advisory Westofcenter, led by former Hotwire leader Andy West, as its UK partner.

The partnership will see the two firms collaborate to market Pemberton’s consulting offer to UK communications and marketing agencies, adding organic growth programmes including agency diagnostics, organic revenue expansion mapping and an operations workshop to Westofcenter’s existing advisory offer.

Pemberton was founded in North Carolina by CEO Mark Riggs in 2018 to “liberate agencies from the RFP.” He said: “Our industry rightly spends a great deal of time and energy innovating using new technologies and services to deliver great client work, which is needed. However, what is also needed is innovation in client management, revenue-generating strategies, and operational excellence.

“This strategic alliance with Westofcenter will allow both consultancies to continue to spread the message globally to professional service firms that we should innovating in these areas for the purposes of organisational growth, business, and professional advancement.”

Andy West (pictured) – who left his role as group chief development officer of Hotwire in 2021 to start his own advisory firm – added: “I hear so much about how difficult it is to win new business right now and how hard it is to grow accounts. I felt that introducing a new way of thinking and promoting a disciplined approach to organic growth would benefit agencies of every type. Many say they do a good job but few have the growth trajectory to evidence that belief.

“Having been introduced to Mark and the Pemberton philosophy, it was abundantly clear that we shared the same passion for helping agencies realise the organic growth potential that exists in every firm. Pemberton has a proven methodology that’s helped dozens of US agencies achieve double digit organic growth. I’m delighted to bring this capability to the UK and to help Westofcenter clients do the same.”
