LONDON —Powerscourt has been reappointed by Airbus to provide strategic communications support across the firm’s activities in the UK.

The agency was first appointed by the aerospace giant in 2015, after Instinctif had held the account for 20 years, and has supported it through issues such as Brexit challenges, the impact of the pandemic on aviation, and sustainable aviation.

The brief includes corporate communications, campaign support, ESG activation and issues management.

Airbus has 25 sites throughout the UK with a UK workforce of more than 10,500. It operates across three divisions: commercial, helicopters and defence and space.

The group is the largest commercial aerospace company in the UK, the country’s largest space business, and the biggest supplier of large aircraft to the RAF. It also represents around 50% of the UK’s civil helicopter fleet.

Powerscourt head of industrials James White said: “Powerscourt has a very strong relationship with Airbus, built up over many years, and we look forward to continuing to advise the business to build on the progress we have made to date, working with the team to communicate Airbus’ industry-leading position on a variety of key areas.”

Airbus also works with agencies including Good Relations in the US and Four Communications in the Middle East.
