LONDON — Fast-expanding Singapore-based global agency group Redhill has launched into the UK market, appointing Loriann Luckings-Marwood to lead the new office as director.

Luckings-Marwood (pictured) joins Redhill from Edelman’s dedicated Microsoft unit, Assembly, where she was an associate director on the Microsoft UK Surface, Windows and M365 consumer accounts, covering communications strategy, creative campaigns and influencer work.

Based in London and working closely with Redhill’s global leadership team, Luckings-Marwood will focus on establishing and growing the agency’s UK base, including new business, hiring local talent and cross-market collaboration across Redhill’s offices.

After starting her career as an entertainment journalist, Luckings-Marwood moved into public relations and has worked in agencies including Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Iris, Mischief, Lynn and Kazoo. Specialising in integrated retail and consumer brand communications, her clients have included eBay, Halfords, Universal Music Group and the NHS.

Redhill’s UK office will be its 20th location; the agency already has a presence across APAC (Singapore, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Thailand, India, Greater China, Japan, Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Cambodia), the Middle East, Germany and the US.

The UK opening comes a year after the agency expanded to the US and Middle East by opening offices in Washington DC, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai to meet demand for global communication services from its multinational clients.

Redhill managing director Tavy Cussinel said the UK expansion was part of its aim to help local clients enter new markets and expand their global footprint, and to support global clients in the UK market. Redhill UK has already secured The Powder Shampoo as its first client.

Cussinel said: “Loriann is not just a consummate public relations professional – she also knows the communications industry inside out and is deeply passionate about storytelling, which is a must in creating authentic connections and meaningful impact. She brings a wealth of experience from working with some of the biggest brands in the world, and her drive to create and connect in new, innovative ways is a perfect fit with the Redhill DNA. I believe that Redhill UK could not be in safer hands with Loriann at the helm.”

Luckings-Marwood added: “We are seeing agencies in the UK gravitate towards greater agility, seamless integration, and extensive diversity, and I believe Redhill shines in all three aspects. We believe in being a true communications partner that knows and believes in the brands as much as their founders, and Redhill’s resources and global capacity mean that we can cover all communications bases and multiple markets for our clients. It is a great honour to be entrusted with leading the UK operations.”

In January, Redhill – named as PRovoke Media’s Southeast Asia consultancy of the year for 2022 – acquired Hong Kong-based Creative Consulting Group (CCG) to serve clients in Hong Kong and the Greater China region. It also bought Singapore-based Vision Strategy Storytelling in September to provide creative visual storytelling solutions centred around social impact and sustainability.

Earlier this year, Redhill established a new creative technology and design unit, Redhill Studio, and, most recently, it launched its metaverse offering with Pixel Canvas, a US-based enterprise metaverse platform.
