LONDON – Tin Man has appointed former Downing Street digital lead Sha Gorur as its first head of digital and social.

Gorur has spent over a decade leading digital strategy and execution for campaigns including the Prime Minister’s Britain is Great Initiative, Bridgestone’s Olympics partnership and Visit London on behalf of the Mayor of London. He was head of digital and social media for 10 Downing Street between 2016 and 2017. 

He joins from WeAreFearless, where he had been digital account director for the past four years. At Tin Man, Gorur will head up a new digital-first practice at the agency, as well as offering counsel to existing clients including Virgin Media, LNER and Indeed.

Gorur is the 11th hire so far in 2021 for Tin Man, and brings the agency's headcount to 35. Over the last year, the agency has backed content and production agency Oh My! and hired ex-Sky and BBC journalist Sean Allen-Moy to head up its growing ‘corpsumer’ and media offering. a number of new clients including Jack Daniel’s owner Brown-Forman, Smart Energy GB and cannabis healthcare company CiiTech.
