LONDON — Technology specialist Wildfire has won three new fintech clients, in an emerging growth sector for the agency.
The new accounts are for data management scale-up Duco, online payments platform Bango, and payment fraud specialist Ravelin.
Duco – headquartered in London with offices in New York, Edinburgh, Wroclaw and Singapore – has hired Wildfire as its PR agency of record to support global growth. Its cloud platform is already used by international banks, exchanges, asset managers and hedge funds.
Wildfire’s brief is to reposition the brand as an intelligent data automation platform among chief information officers in a broader range of sectors. The agency team will also work on thought leadership for Duco’s existing products.
Global head of sales Douglas Greenwell said: “Duco has scaled up rapidly since its inception in 2013 and as we’ve grown, so have our ambitions, so we were keen to find a PR partner who could help us reposition our offering to reach new sectors and broader audiences. The Wildfire team impressed us with its comprehensive knowledge not only of the sectors we currently operate in, but also those we are looking to target.”
For Bango, Wildfire will be the lead global agency to raise awareness of its new purchase behaviour targeting technology, Bango Audiences. The brief includes B2B influencer marketing, analyst relations and creative activations to help the brand – which manages payments for technology brands including Amazon, Google, Microsoft and Samsung – break into the digital marketing sector.
Bango CMO, Anil Malhotra said: “Bango has a long history working with the biggest brands in online commerce. Now, with the launch of Bango Audiences, we need an agency with the brainpower and experience to help us take our technology into the digital marketing space. Wildfire ticked this box perfectly, providing us with a creative, PR, AR and influencer relations strategy that reflects our bold ambitions as a technology innovator.”
Wildfire MD Debby Penton – who led the MBO of the firm last May – added: “We’ve witnessed Google and Facebook build online advertising models by targeting consumers through search and social interests. But with Bango, the ability to directly reach paying customers is something that all marketers strive for, but rarely achieve. Through our upcoming campaigns, we aim to make purchase behaviour targeting the tool of choice for savvy marketers.
For the third new client, Ravelin, Wildfire will be carrying out UK-focused brand building and thought leadership.
