The Holmes Report is calling on PR professionals and clients to take part in the 2017 Global Communications Report — which will again define the future of the industry and those who will shape it.

Last year's inaugural study polled 1000 professionals from 57 countries, revealing the scale of change disrupting the public relations industry. A more simplified 2017 survey will build on that effort by combining growth predictions, trend assessments and questions about the state of the PR brand and how it is being defined.

For the first time, meanwhile, two separate surveys are being fielded, one to senior level PR/communications professionals and one to students who are about to enter the field. "We believe this data will provide rich opportunities for exploring the differences and similarities between the two groups," said USC Center for Public Relations director Fred Cook.

Industry professionals from both the agency and client side can take the survey here. The deadline for responses is February 17, 2017.

Findings will be presented at the Kenneth Owler Symposium at USC Annenberg on March 30, 2017. The second annual GCR is presented in partnership with AMEC, Arthur W. Page Society, Global Alliance, ICCO, Institute for Public Relations, PR Council, PRCA UK/MENA, PRSA and WorldCom Public Relations Group.

Separately, PR firms can now enter their 2016 fee income for our annual Global 250 PR Agency Ranking — the most authoritative study of its kind, chronicling the size and stature of the global PR industry since 2007.

In addition, the same form can be used to enter into consideration for our 2017 Agencies of the Year in North America, EMEA, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Agencies of the year will again be honoured at our various SABRE Awards shows across the globe this year. The deadline for entries is March 4, 2017.
