Janine Pelosi

Chief Marketing Officer
Zoom
US

Janine Pelosi joined Zoom in March 2015 as head of marketing and built its marketing organization from scratch. She helms the company’s branding strategy, as well as its demand capture and pipeline engines that have fueled Zoom’s massive growth in the past six years.

The pandemic proved game-changing for Zoom, which has cemented its status as a verb within the cultural zeitgeist. But amid this unprecedented boom, the company also, perhaps inevitably, faced a plethora of issues spanning security, privacy and censorship.

Even so, the ubiquity of Zoom prevails and its Q4 and Fiscal Year 2022 were outstanding, seeing revenue increase by 55% year on year to almost $4.1bn despite competition from the likes of Microsoft Teams. Pelosi's already demanding job as CMO has grown exponentially since the start of the pandemic. She is responsible for the company’s brand, communications, go-to-market, product marketing, lead generation, and customer marketing, as well as Zoom’s online business and its corporate responsibility initiatives under the Zoom Cares Foundation.

Prior to joining Zoom, she led the worldwide demand generation function for the collaboration business unit at Cisco. She built teams and programs at both Webex (pre-acquisition) and Cisco, garnering a deep knowledge of both eCommerce and direct sales go-to-market models. In 2020, Pelosi was named one of the most innovative CMOs in the world by Business Insider.
