The pandemic has been game-changing for Zoom, which has cemented its status as a verb within the cultural zeitgeist. But amid this unprecedented boom, the company has also, perhaps inevitably, faced a plethora of issues spanning security, privacy and censorship. And now with offices reopening, Pelosi is overseeing Zoom’s repositioning for the post-pandemic reality. As part of this, she was involved in the company’s recent PR shakeup that displaced Hotwire with Edelman.

Even so, the ubiquity of Zoom prevails and Pelosi's already demanding job as CMO has grown exponentially since the start of the pandemic. She is responsible for the company’s brand, communications, go-to-market, product marketing, lead generation, and customer marketing, as well as Zoom’s online business and its corporate responsibility initiatives under the Zoom Cares Foundation.

Pelosi joined Zoom in March 2015 as head of marketing and built its marketing organization from scratch. She helms the company’s branding strategy, as well as its demand capture and pipeline engines that have fueled Zoom’s massive growth in the past five years. Prior to joining Zoom, she led the worldwide demand generation function for the collaboration business unit at Cisco. She built teams and programs at both Webex (pre-acquisition) and Cisco, garnering a deep knowledge of both eCommerce and direct sales go-to-market models. In 2020, Pelosi was named one of the most innovative CMOs in the world by Business Insider.
